Prof. Dr. Katarina Krüger is a professor at HTW Berlin, where she teaches Corporate Finance, Microeconomics, and Blockchain Business Development. She is the founder and program director of the Cyber Security and Business degree program — a forward-looking initiative that bridges technical cybersecurity competencies with strategic business thinking.
Her research sits at the intersection of AI agents, cybersecurity, and blockchain technology, with a particular focus on financial applications and real-world industry use cases. She collaborates closely with companies to develop and test innovative blockchain-based solutions.
Katarina Krüger currently serves as Chair of the Reallabor "Finance", driving applied research and experimental approaches to financial innovation. Together with students, she organises the annual Blockchain@HTW conference, one of Berlin's key events connecting academia and industry on distributed ledger topics.
She is an active author of books, academic articles, book chapters, and specialist publications, and a sought-after keynote speaker, active both nationally and internationally. She also contributes to the Working Group Education of the European Blockchain Association INATBA.
